This Saturday, the 31st day of the Bundesliga offered a tempting multiplex with five matches. Winner of the championship last week, Bayern Munich traveled to Mainz. And if Vincent Kompany’s men did not necessarily need to bare their claws, they had to confirm this coronation with a large turnover. Opposite, Nadiem Amiri’s teammates were in the soft underbelly of the table (10th), but intended to create the feat against the already crowned Bavarians. A surprise which was also confirmed at the Mewa Arena. The visitors were cooled down by conceding three goals in the first half! Dominik Kohr opened the scoring (1-0, 14th), Paul Nebel was also conclusive (2-0, 28th) and Sheraldo Becker terrorized the 2025-26 champion before the break (3-0, 45+1). Returning from the locker room, Nicolas Jackson was able to reduce the gap using the post (3-1, 53rd) and it was at this precise moment that everything changed. Michael Olise put on a show (3-2, 73rd) before Jamal Musiala (3-3, 80th) and Harry Kane (3-4, 83rd) cooled down their opponents. The people of Munich therefore demonstrate, again and again, that their coronation is well deserved.

In the other matches this Saturday afternoon, Augsburg hosted Frankfurt. And the least we can say is that the two teams played similar football, which ended in a draw (1-1). For its part, Bayer Leverkusen did the job on the Cologne pitch, remaining in danger until the end of the match (1-2). At the bottom of the table, Heidenheim absolutely had to take the three points against St Pauli and the job was done perfectly in their den (2-0). Finally, Wolfsburg and Borussia M’Gladbach could not decide between themselves and it was ultimately the only 0-0 in this multiplex. In the ranking, Leverkusen is well in the top 5, Mainz completely misses the mark and remains in 10th position. St Pauli is still not doing well (16th) just like Heidenheim which remains last despite its success.
