Nicolas Jackson’s loan to Bayern Munich, concluded last summer from Chelsea, should not turn into a permanent transfer. Arriving in the Premier League in 2023 after his time at Villarreal, the 24-year-old Senegalese striker joined Bavaria on a loan estimated at 17 million euros, with a conditional purchase option of around 67 million. This depended in particular on playing time objectives which the player ultimately did not achieve during the season.

Sportingly, Jackson’s performance in the Bundesliga remained mixed. Author of 6 goals and 2 assists in 19 league matches (28 appearances in all competitions), he never managed to establish himself sustainably in the Bavarian rotation. According to Sky Sport Germanydespite coach Vincent Kompany’s esteem for his professionalism, Bayern decided not to exercise the purchase option. The Senegalese international should therefore return to Chelsea, but a new departure is already being considered, with several clubs in England, Spain and Italy closely monitoring his situation with a view to the next transfer window, still according to Sky Sport Germany.
