Real Madrid have announced injuries to two starters, who will miss the end of the season with the club in order to preserve themselves for the 2026 World Cup.

Double whammy. With six matches remaining in its season, Real Madrid will have to innovate after announcing this Thursday, through two separate press releases, the packages of Arda GĂĽler and Eder Militao for the remainder of the 2025-2026 financial year.

The first is the victim of “muscle lesion of the biceps femoris of the right leg” after medical examinations passed today, while the second suffers from the same injury, this time on the left leg. Their respective recoveries will be monitored “up close”.

Very bad news for Real – despite an almost complete blank season given FC Barcelona’s lead in the La Liga standings – who are losing two starters in their race for second place in the championship, as well as for the Clasico against the big rival scheduled for May 10.

GĂĽler and Militao preserved for the World Cup

For his part, journalist Fabrizio Romano indicates that the Turk will preserve himself in order to “focus on a return for the 2026 World Cup”. The same goes for the Brazilian. No risks will be taken, both by the Madrilenians and by the players.
