It was expected, it’s now official: Wolverhampton will play in the Championship next season. Following West Ham’s draw at Crystal Palace (0-0), Wolves – last with 17 points – no longer have any chance of leaving the relegation zone, five days before the end of this Premier League season.

Wolverhampton will return to the English second division for the first time in eight years. This season, the teammates of Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Angel Gomes have only won three matches in the league, recording eight draws and, above all, 22 losses. The residents of Molineux Stadium have had three coaches this season: VĂtor Pereira, Jamie Collins and, the current one, Rob Edwards. Wolverhampton is also the first club in the European top 5 whose relegation is officially assured.
