Passed by Saint-Etienne between 1969 and 1982, Jacques Santini was part of the great epic of the Greens of 1976. That year, the Forézien club reached the final of the Champion Clubs’ Cup. On this occasion, a meeting will be organized. It will pit a selection of ASSE players against the “Team of Heroes”, a collective bringing together former footballers, high-level athletes and other personalities. The funds raised during this event will be donated to the AFM-Téléthon in order to support research dedicated to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) carried out at the Institute of Myology.
If all the names making up the two teams have not yet been revealed, we already know a few of them. The “ASSE Légendes” team will include Loïc Perrin, Romain Hamouma, Jérémie Janot, Pascal Feindouno, Kévin Monnet-Paquet, Mathieu Debuchy and Max-Alain Gradel. Facing them, they will find Eden Hazard, Javier Pastore, Robert Pirès, Christian Karembeu, Jérémy Menez, Florent Manaudou, Artus, Paul de Saint Sernin, Thomas Ngijol and even Paul Mirabel.
