After 25 years of waiting, Coventry are back in the Premier League. The English club officially validated its rise this Friday evening following its draw against Blackburn (1-1). With this result, Frank Lampard’s men can no longer be joined by Milwall, third and Championship play-off with 73 points.
Coventry will have three more matches to secure the championship title, which is no longer in doubt. With 86 points, the leader already has a comfortable cushion of 11 points ahead of second-placed Ipswich. As a reminder, Frank Lampard was appointed last season as head of the club, then 17th in the Championship.
