Author of Real Madrid’s opener against Alavés (2-1), Tuesday evening at the Bernabéu, Kylian Mbappé scored his 24th goal in La Liga and his 41st in all competitions.

Six days after his 15th and final goal of the season in the Champions League, during the elimination of Real Madrid in the quarter-finals against Bayern, Kylian Mbappé took advantage of the arrival of Alavés, Tuesday at the Bernabéu, to improve his crazy statistics. The star number 10 of the Merengues broke the deadlock by trying his luck from 25 meters. His shot was deflected by the buttocks of a Deportivo defender, Jonny Otto, and deceived Antonio Sivera (30th).

His attacking partner Vinicius doubled the lead after returning from the locker room with another long-range shot which escaped the opposing goalkeeper (50th). A victory (2-1) which allows Real Madrid to come back to six points behind Barça, who faces Celta de Vigo on Wednesday. As a reminder, a Clasico is still on the program, in 12 days at the Camp Nou!

Mbappé in the history of French football

With this 24th goal in the league, Mbappé now has 41 goals in all competitions, three fewer than last season (44), with six days remaining in the Pyrenees. Above all, the former PSG star player becomes the first French player to string together four seasons with more than 40 goals, after his 41 pawns in 2022-2023 and 44 in 2023-2024 with the Rouge et Bleu.

Alavés, who saved the honor at the end of the match by their scorer Toni Martínez (90th + 3), remains first non-relegation in the ranking, with only one point ahead of 18th, Elche. Mariano Diaz did not come off the bench for his return to the Bernabéu.
