Luis Enrique returned to his management of Ibrahim Mbaye in a pre-match press conference against Nantes.

What happened to Ibrahim Mbaye? Holder with Paris Saint-Germain during several crucial matches for the club in the first part of the season – notably against FC Barcelona (1-2), Lens (2-0) and Lille (1-1) – the striker has completely disappeared from the radar.

Despite a very good African Cup of Nations with Senegal, the 18-year-old has only taken part in six games out of a possible eighteen with PSG since his return from Morocco three months ago, accumulating a very low total of 191 minutes played.

A downgrade within the hierarchy, which his coach Luis Enrique returned to at a press conference on the sidelines of the postponed match of the 26th day of Ligue 1 against Nantes this Wednesday evening (7 p.m.) at the Parc des Princes.

Enrique on Mbaye: “I expect a lot more”

“That’s just what I’m saying. When you can play five minutes with Paris Saint-Germain, it must be special”explained the Spanish tactician first, before sending a message that was explicit to say the least to the Senegalese.

“I have no regrets about Ibrahim Mbaye. You have to be ready. He was ready, but I expect a lot more from all the players. It’s simply competition. A player must remain outside the team. What I want is for him to enjoy every minute,” added Luis Enrique, who should not call him up with the group, like against Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday.
