Georginio Wijnaldum wants to make his comeback to the Premier League next season, at the end of his contract in Saudi Arabia this summer, where he plays for Al-Ettifaq. The former Liverpool midfielder (2016-2021), also spent time at Paris Saint-Germain without ever really establishing himself there, does not rule out a return to England according to Sky Sports. Indeed, the Premier League is a championship in which he had established himself as a reference in his position during his years spent at Newcastle and Liverpool.
At 35, the Dutchman is not yet considering retirement and believes he can continue to play at a very high level, building on a successful season with his club: 14 goals and six assists in all competitions. This possible comeback in the Premier League will now depend on the opportunities available to him this summer, even if he should not join a top 6 club given his age.
