Quoted from Brest to potentially succeed Grégory Lorenzi as sporting director, Yohan Cabaye spoke at a media day organized by PSG, eight days before the Youth League semi-final against Real Madrid: “I have requests in France and abroad, particularly in England. This is the fruit of the work that I have been able to achieve and I take it with humility. The most important thing is to be focused on our objectives, the Youth League, listening to the staff and players, and the Gambardella Cup. My personal case is secondary and will always come after the club. Priority to what will happen there”he indicated.

Arriving in 2021 as youth sports coordinator, Cabaye was then promoted to sports director of the training center from 2024. Today, the Ile-de-France team is doing well: the U17s should play the final stages of the French championships (they are leaders of the U17 Nationals), just like the U19s who will also play a semi-final of the Gambardella Cup against Nantes, and of the Youth League, therefore, against Real Madrid.
