Opponent of FC Metz, Friday evening during the 29th day of Ligue 1, OM can count on a significant comeback.

Very lively day in Marseille! After the official presentation of the club’s new president, Stéphane Richard, in the presence of owner Frank McCourt, OM will face FC Metz on Friday evening on their pitch at the Vélodrome stadium (9:05 p.m.), as part of a 29e lifting of Ligue 1 which will begin at 7 p.m. with the match between Paris FC and Monaco.

An important meeting for the Olympians, who have two defeats against LOSC (1-2) and against ASM (1-2) in the championship. These missteps caused Habib Beye’s players to slide from third to fourth place in the ranking, which is not directly qualifying for the Champions League. There is therefore an urgency to win for the Ciel et Blanc.

An important return to the OM group

The good news is that they will be able to count on the return of Mason Greenwood against the red lantern in Metz. The English striker, who was suspended against the Monegasques last weekend, is included in the Marseille group, as is Leonardo Balerdi. Nayef Aguerd, CJ Egan-Riley and Geoffrey Kondogbia, however, are out.
