This Saturday afternoon at the Allianz Stadium, Juventus hosted Como in an important match in Italy’s race for Europe. Before the match, Juve were in fifth place, just ahead of Como, which promised a close confrontation between two teams close in the standings. In difficulty in recent weeks, the Old Lady was emerging from a spanking received in Istanbul against Galatasaray during the first leg of the Champions League play-off (5-2). From the outset, the people of Turin were overwhelmed by the will of the Lombards. More incisive, Como, despite slight opposing domination, took advantage of a moment of weakness for Juve to make the difference.

Found on the right by Douvikas, Vojvoda entered on his left foot and armed a powerful strike which deceived Di Gregorio and his hand was far from firm (0-1, 11th). Dominated, Juve conceded a second goal after returning from the locker room with Maxence Caqueret who pushed the ball deep after a superb collective action (0-2, 51st). Juventus, despite a few attempts, never really managed to reverse the trend and sometimes seemed too predictable against a well-organized Como team. In the end, the visitors obtained an important away victory, which allowed them to consolidate their fifth place in the standings and come back to within one point of their opponent of the day. The Old Lady will have to quickly raise her head to maintain her European ambitions in Serie A. Juve has not won in five matches in all competitions.
