This season, it seems obvious that PSG does not have the same control as during the previous season. With a squad more affected by injuries, Luis Enrique’s training tries to keep the same standards. And if for some, the level of play displayed is insufficient, this is not the opinion of the Spanish coach who believes that we are far too demanding of his team.
“Our quality of play? But our last match was top level. What you want, and I understand it, is that we play like last year, like at the Club World Cup with 4-0 in each match. But what you want is impossible. This season, and these last few matches, we have a team which loses 2-0 in 20 minutes and which is capable of winning this match. I don’t know if you realize. I am very happy with what I saw in this match in Monaco. There were difficulties but the team continued to play. There is resilience. We drew at half-time, losing 2-0, it’s incredible. I am very happy myself.”
