Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is keen to buy a Barcelona villa worth £13.5 million as his divorce from wife Cristina Serra comes to an end.

The couple is finalizing the final details of their separation and, according to the Spanish press, their relationship is irreparably broken. Guardiola and Serra confirmed their separation last January, and the divorce was described as “imminent” in August.

The couple are described as “friendly”.

Together for over 30 years, they met in 1994 and married in 2014. Despite their separation, it appears that Guardiola and Serra have remained on good terms and continue to form a family with their three children.

Negotiations regarding their divorce are described as “friendly”, with both spouses using the same lawyer to sort out the final details of their proceedings. This choice ensures that neither Guardiola nor Serra will contest the end of their marriage.

The divorce was announced as “imminent” last August, with reports from Spain suggesting that a reconciliation was impossible for the Spanish couple. Guardiola is reportedly considering buying a villa in Barcelona worth £13.5million, located just a stone’s throw from their former marital home, which is valued at £8.5million.

A brochure featuring the £13.5 million villa, located in the upmarket Pedralbes area of Barcelona, claims: “ The space, light and views are second to none. Each luxury villa offers an exceptional living environment, well beyond its walls and its vast grounds. Only the horizon stretches as far as the eye can see.”

“The horizon is the only limit” for Pep’s new home.

The developers also promise to preserve the privacy of the owners thanks to lush vegetation: holm oaks, lemon trees, cypresses, magnolias and century-old olive trees.

According to a source, this property is being considered as a future residence or potential investment for Valentina, the couple’s youngest daughter, aged only 17.
