Alexander Isak spent more than €34,000 on a guard dog after receiving death threats, reports The Sun. The Liverpool star will soon welcome a highly trained Doberman to protect him off the pitch as he moves to Merseyside. The decision follows the abuse he has suffered since his transfer, as well as threats received on social media following Sweden’s last place in qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

“Alexander had a high-profile summer because of the lengthy transfer and the high price paid by Liverpool. He wants to feel safe off the field and having a protection dog is essential for that.”explained a source cited by the English media. Phoenix Dogs, which supplies Isak with the Doberman, described the animal as “beautiful inside and out” and one “fabulous creature”. Isak joins several footballers who have purchased a protection dog, such as Marcus Rashford, Kyle Walker and Jack Grealish.
