The shirt sponsorship deal between Chelsea and Infinite Athlete might not be signed due to big suspicions.

The shirt sponsorship deal between Chelsea and Infinite Athlete may not go through as the Premier League have carried out a thorough review of the proposal.

According to DailyMail, serious question marks surround Chelsea’s proposal to have their shirts sponsored by ‘Infinite Athlete’ in the near future. The company was set up just a week before the Blues entered talks with it and the Premier League is considering whether the deal falls within its ‘fair market value’ rules.

The company’s turnover is estimated at £12m a year and the deal is expected to bring Chelsea around £40m.

One of Infinite’s main investors is a company called Silver Lake, which also has ties to another company called Fanatics. The latter received millions of dollars in investment from Clearlake Capital, which backed the consortium that took over Chelsea after the departure of Roman Abramovich.
