Leipzig misses debut despite Openda

Winners of the German Super Cup after a show of force against Bayern last week, RB Leipzig missed their Bundesliga debut on Saturday.

The Red Bull club, despite a goal signed by its new striker, Loïs Openda, lost on the lawn of Bayer Leverkusen (3-2) for the big resumption of the German championship.

Freiburg, Stuttgart and Wolfsburg also started with success, respectively against Hoffenheim (1-2), Bochum (5-0) and Heidenheim (2-0).

Spectacular draw also between Augsburg and Mönchengladbach (4-4). The day before, Bayern had taken the best of Werder, in Bremen (0-4).
