The news is not good from Saint-Étienne. ASSE conceded its third defeat in four matches on Saturday, swept 4-0 by FC Annecy despite an affordable opponent on paper. Reduced to ten, the Greens have displayed all their fragilities and see their situation becoming more complicated in the Ligue 2 standings.

In a new unfiltered outing, Romain Molina did not mince his words towards the management of AS Saint-Étienne. The journalist denounced a deleterious internal atmosphere and pointed the finger “the ego” of certain leaders, notably that of Huss Fahmy, who arrived in the wake of the takeover of the club by Larry Tanenbaum.

“I have been repeating it since last year: the ego of the new leaders of Saint-Étienne, led by Huss Fahmy, is a real problem. They think they know everything because they have known great clubs”first launched the journalist on X. “The atmosphere internally has been HORRIBLE for a while at all levels, they have not cleaned the club thoroughly”he added.

“Three Serbian transfers in one year”

The journalist also mentions gray areas around certain recent transfers, in particular those linked to the Serbian market.
“Three Serbian transfers in one year, it’s quite a coincidence! »he quips. Molina also implicates Ivan Gazidis, Tanenbaum's right-hand man, whom he accuses “to put the owner to sleep” by presenting him with a project “stronger than it really is”while sporting results are struggling to take off.

Finally, he criticizes the club's communication, considered too smooth:
“Taking photos with the ultras, talking about young people, it’s good. But the reality is that they don't care. » A frontal charge which comes in an already tense context between the Saint-Etienne management and part of the public, increasingly skeptical of the choices of the new management.
