“FC Bayern and Vincent Kompany have extended their contract until June 30, 2029. The coach's current contract was due to expire in the summer of 2027. Kompany, 39, arrived in Munich from Burnley FC (England) before the 2024/25 season and led the team to the Bundesliga title in his first year. The Belgian also won the Super Cup with Bayern at the start of the season. The Bayern Munich press release came out this Tuesday noon, to formalize the contract extension of Vincent Kompany. The Belgian technician therefore convinced the general staff of his skills in a little over a year, while a form of skepticism had surrounded his appointment.

Today undisputed in terms of results and once again exciting quality of play, Kompany can congratulate himself on this new long-term contract. “ I am grateful and honored and would like to thank FC Bayern for the trust and working environment they have placed in me from day one. I feel like I've been here a lot longer and know the club well. It's been a great experience so far. We have started a wonderful adventure. Let's continue to work hard and celebrate even more success! »he said.
