PSG sees the end of the tunnel. After Désiré Doué, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola, against Strasbourg, two new players have indeed returned to the Parisian squad for the trip to Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday, on behalf of the 3e day of the Champions League.
As expected since last week, Ousmane Dembélé, injured in the thigh at the beginning of September during the French team's match against Ukraine, and Marquinhos, injured in the left quadriceps during training at the end of September, were declared fit by the Parisian staff and will return to competition in Germany.
Only two players will therefore be missing against Bayer Leverkusen: Fabian Ruiz and Joao Neves, both in the recovery phase but for whom Luis Enrique and his teams do not want to take any risks.
Seven players absent at Bayer Leverkusen
If PSG is doing better, its opponent is suffering. No less than seven players will in fact be absent against Paris: Exequiel Palacios and Axel Tape but also Nathan Tella, Malik Tillman and Lucas Vazquez, all injured, as well as Jonas Hoffman and Martin Terrier, who were not registered in the Champions League.
And uncertainty also hangs over Patrik Schick, on the sidelines for three matches due to a thigh injury. If he was present at training this Monday, a decision will be made at the last moment.
Due to his numerous absences, three very young players were called to the rescue: Jeremiah Mensah (17 years old), Ken Izekor (18 years old) and Montrell Culbreath (18 years old).
