Bernardo Silva's future seems to be written far from Manchester. At 31, the Portuguese attacking midfielder is reaching the end of his contract and has still not extended with Pep Guardiola's club. According to information from
Calciomercatohis agent Jorge Mendes would have opened discussions with several Italian clubs, a sign of a possible change at the end of his career.

Italian clubs in ambush for Bernardo Silva

Juventus and AC Milan have positioned themselves to try to attract the Portuguese international. The two transalpine giants, although financially limited, hope to take advantage of his status as a future free player to achieve a masterstroke. His current salary, estimated at 10 million euros per year, however, remains a major obstacle in the negotiations.

Bernardo Silva has no shortage of suitors. In addition to Italian clubs, the former Benfica player would have received a substantial offer from Saudi Arabia, while his training club dreams of repatriating him to Lisbon. The player would favor one last major European challenge before thinking about a sentimental return.

A new chapter to write

If he were to join Serie A, Bernardo Silva would follow the same trajectory as Kevin De Bruyne, recently transferred to Naples. A symbolic transition for two figures from the Guardiola era, whose end at Manchester City now seems inevitable.
