After attracting Neymar, and while waiting for Marco Verratti, the Al-Hilal club has finalized the arrival of another high-sounding name.

The excitement does not fall in Saudi Arabia. This summer of 2023 will remain a turning point in the history of football since a multitude of world stars have opted for this destination in order to pursue their careers. Cristiano Ronaldo had put his suitcases there 6 months ago. He has since been joined by Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kanté, Sadio Mané, Riyad Mahrez and Fabinho. And the latest big blow from Saudi Arabia causes exceptional jubilation since a certain Neymar Jr signed up for Al-Hilal this week.

Considered the biggest club in Asia, Al-Hilal, based in Riyadh, in the capital of Saudi Arabia, has not completed its transfer window. While the name of Marco Verratti comes back with insistence, the Saudi club has also finalized the arrival of a significant reinforcement in the person of Yassine Bounou. At the age of 32, the Moroccan international goalkeeper has chosen Al-Hilal to open a new chapter in his career.

Al-Hilal offers himself a World Cup crack

Bounou was still aligned with Sevilla FC during the European Super Cup against Manchester City on Wednesday, in a match lost on penalties (1-1, 4-5 tab). Yet a specialist in exercise, the Moroccan goalkeeper saw his rating explode following his XXL performances with his selection at the last World Cup in Qatar, where he had been one of the great artisans of his country’s epic until the semi-finals, thus allowing Morocco to become the first African team to reach the last four. The operation should bring compensation of 21 million euros to Sevilla FC. Yassine Bounou would be linked to Al-Hilal until 2026.
