The lucid observation of Kingsley Coman with the French Team

During the last two meetings, Kingsley Coman was called up by the French team. A great response after numerous criticisms following his departure to Saudi Arabia and Al-Nassr this summer. After numerous titles and rich experiences at PSG, Juventus Turin and Bayern Munich, the 29-year-old winger is having a good start to the season with the Saudi team. However, his future in the selection is still uncertain because the man with 59 caps (8 goals) took advantage of numerous injuries in the offensive sector to be recalled by Didier Deschamps. Asked by The Team on his status and his past with the French team, Coman was lucid and explained how he lived his experience with the Blues:

“It’s more difficult to be a starter today. In the national team, I started for short periods, but during major competitions, I was always a substitute with the ambition to help the team. You could say I'm used to this role. What's harder is experiencing it from the stands, when there are 26 players and therefore sidelines on match days. There, clearly, I prefer to give my place to someone who has never experienced that. I played in a World Cup, three Euros… The coach knows all that, but he also knows that he can count on me if he needs it. Since the Euro episode, we communicate a lot more. My story with the French team? I'm happy, all the same. I had some good times. But I think it could have been better if I had been more decisive at certain moments or if I had started in the big competitions. It's a slight regret. These two lost finals, Euro 2016 (against Portugal, 0-1 ap) and the 2022 World Cup, leave a taste of unfinished business. I’m just missing a trophy with the Blues.”
