Manchester City won on Brentford's lawn this Sunday during the 7th day of the Premier League, thus consolidating its place among the leaders of the championship. The Cityzens quickly took the advantage thanks to a goal from Erling Haaland in the 9th minute, taking advantage of a local defense in difficulty. The rest of the meeting was rather calm, City controlling the pace of the match without being really worried by Brentford, who had a hard time being dangerous despite some timid incursions in the opposing camp.

However, the meeting was marked by Rodri's injury, Ballon d'Or 2024, from the 22nd minute, forcing Pep Guardiola to reorganize his midfielder. Cherki was back in the group, but the attacker did not come into play. With this victory, Manchester City confirms his position in the top 5 of the Premier League, while Brentford remains in difficulty in 16th place. Haaland continues to impress with already 9 league goals this season.
