Crystal Palace is interested in Kees Smit, a young nugget of AZ Alkmaar, reports the Daily Mail. At 19, the Dutch community is considered one of the most promising talents of its generation, compared to Frenkie de Jong and Kevin de Bruyne. Revealed in 2023 thanks to an exceptional goal of 50 meters against BarƧa in Youth League, he shone this summer during the U19 Euro, won by the Netherlands, being elected best player and tournament scorer.
Followed by cadors like Real Madrid, BarƧa, Chelsea or Manchester United, Smit attracts lusts. Crystal Palace hopes to seduce the player, however, by offering him a more accessible sports project, in order to anticipate the possible departure of Adam Wharton next summer. AZ would claim around 23 million euros to let its jewel go, author of 12 appearances this season in the league and in the Europa league conference, for a goal and three assists.
