After selling Franck Kessie and Ousmane Dembele last week to Al Ahli and Paris Saint-Germain respectively, FC Barcelona are considering making further sales before the end of the summer transfer window.

Ansu Fati is one of the players FC Barcelona are looking to sell, even though the player himself is reluctant to leave. However, the 20-year-old is ready to leave if he isn’t part of Xavi Hernandez’s plans for this season, and several clubs are said to be interested in signing him.

If a permanent contract seems most likely at this stage, Sport reports that FC Barcelona are also willing to let Fati go on loan for the 2023-24 season. This would allow him to get regular playing time, while remaining on the shelves of the Catalan club.

FC Barcelona are also likely to demand a considerable loan fee if clubs show interest in this solution, in order to improve their financial situation somewhat.

Given that Xavi is expected to favor Raphinha, Ez Abde and Lamine Yamal this season, a loan spell for Fati could be a very good idea. He undeniably has abilities and potential, and he would have to play week after week to unblock the situation, which is not likely to happen to Barcelona.
