After his success against Saint-Pauli (2-0) last weekend and his good start in the Europa League against the Celta de Vigo (2-1) Thursday, Stuttgart (10th) was keen to confirm his good form of the moment during the 5th day of Bundesliga, this Sunday afternoon, against Cologne (6th). But the task was more complicated than expected for the men of Sébastien Hoeness, surprised from the first attack of Cologne and the opening of score of Jakub Kaminski (4th, 1-0). Not enough to panic the visitors who returned to the score on a goal from Ermedin Demirovic on a penalty (28th, 1-1).

In the second period, Cologne pushed more. But it was Stuttgart who had the last word thanks to the goal of Josha Vagnoman (81st, 1-2), on an Angelo Stiller caviar. The VFB is therefore essential for the first time out of their base this season and joined the top 5 of Bundesliga, at a point behind Frankfurt. Opposite, Cologne concedes a second loss in a row after his setback against the RB Leipzig, a first for almost a year, and has been back in a place in the standings.
