During the second half of last August, Olympique de Marseille experienced a real psychodrama with the “Rabiot affair”. In the last moments of the summer transfer window, the tricolor international had been transferred to AC Milan.

It was an altercation between the player trained in Paris Saint-Germain and Jonathan Rowe, after the defeat of OM against Stade Rennais (1-0), which sparked this start of the crisis.
“At the beginning, we tried to pass the case in silence, while waiting for excuses that have never been presented”, Revealed Medhi Benatia, during an interview given to CORRIERE DELLO SPORT.

OM leaders would therefore have wished to keep the best player within their workforce. In vain. More generally, the group led by Roberto de Zerbi seemed to spin a bad cotton.

OM, managers have regained control

“We expect seriousness here, continues the director of football. At the beginning of the summer, there were none from some players. Delays, bad attitudes, unpleasant situations: are we kidding? What are we doing there? We're in the Champions League: so what? With Longoria and Zerbi, we immediately took control of the situation, and as we have a healthy group, things have been set up. »»

The Rabiot affair now seems to be digested today. Lucas Balerdi and his teammates seem to have started a good dynamic with their victory against PSG last Monday at the Orange Vélodrome. Confirmation is expected this Friday evening, in Alsace, against the Racing Club of Strasbourg.
