The Vélodrome stadium had certainly exploded with joy on February 8, 2022 during an eighth French Cup won against Lionel Messi and Neymar (2-1), under the leadership of Igor Tudor, but OM had not won a classic in Ligue 1 at home since November 27, 2011 (3-0)! Fourteen years later, the Marseille public celebrated a 1-0 victory in a delirious atmosphere, in the nose and beard of the Champions League winner, the long-awaited coronation of a Parisian player, namely Ousmane Dembélé.

At the fifth day of L1, the result of the meeting does not have a crazy impact on the season, but the success of the formation of Roberto de Zerbi is a breath of oxygen. OM, with this third victory, dates back to 6th position in the classification, while PSG gives way to Leader in Monaco to the best attack.

The story will also note that the Pablo Longoria club was right to request the postponement of the meeting this Monday (as regulations) – and not Tuesday or in December, “Dembouz” being absent as DĂ©sirĂ© DouĂ©, Bradley Barcola and Joao Neves. It is an amazing error of Lucas Chevalier, on a center of Mason Greenwood, which opened the scoring in the 5th minute of the game. The Marseillais then held until the end.

OM is good, PSG without solution

The Provencal crater then capsized on a bar found by Amine Gouiri (25th) then a goal directly refused out of the Emerson Palmieri (27th). But the locals also blew on a beautiful rolled up, out of the frame, from KHVICHA KVARATSKHELIA (31st). PSG really pushed at the time of play but Geronimo Rulli released the big game on a grazing strike from Achraf Hakimi (59th). Then Gonçalo Ramos was unable to frame the head just in front of the goal (65th). The Portuguese center forward, again disappointing, was released before the end of the game.

The first two players launched by Luis Enrique (Lee Kang-in and Senny Mayulu) did not give a second breath to the Parisians, but that of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (61st) could have sheltered the Phocaeans in the shelter twice. Enough to ignite this delirious audience even more. De Zerbi's men held out to celebrate their collective victory with their fans. PSG leaves in the capital, this Monday, October 22 (historic for French football), with individual trophies.
