Like Brest, 19th in Ligue 1, Girona seems to have been abandoned by her grace a year ago. For their fifth match of the Liga season, the Catalans once again sank against Levante (0-4). The record is worrying: 4 defeats, 1 draw, and a place of red lantern. The expulsion of Axel Witsel had already complicated things at half an hour of play, since the feeling of the start of the season, Etta Eyong, opened the scoring barely a quarter of an hour later (43rd).

Loaned by Manchester City, the young Brazilian defender Vitor Reis also saw red, forty seconds after the resumption of the second period for too high and uncontrolled foot. Carlos Alvarez broke the following free kick, Ivan Romero scored his third goal in the season in surface fox (70th), and the ex-Lensois Godduine Koyalipou scored after entering the game (90th). Ounahi was released at the end of the match, while Thomas Lemar is still injured and has not played. Levante is 13th in Liga, Girona is last.
