A former player from Olympique de Marseille decided to file a complaint against the club and its president Pablo Longoria.

The story of Chancel Mbemba at Olympique de Marseille ended very badly. Leaving this summer in Lille in a relative anonymity, the Congolese international did not digest the treatment he was the subject of the past season.

Chancel Mbemba thus made the decision to file a complaint against Olympique de Marseille and its president Pablo Longoria.

According to information from the team, the central defender evokes moral harassment as part of his sidelining, as well as the pressures exerted on him and his entourage in relation to his possible transfer.

Mbemba, a darling which has become undesirable

As a reminder, Chancel Mbemba had suddenly been sidelined by the professional group after the arrival of Roberto de Zerbi, a little over a year ago. Officially, the Congolese international did not fall into the plans of his new coach.

Condemned to stay in the “loft” of the players called upon to find a new club, Mbemba had not found a fall point. The defender lived a white season, without playing the slightest match, before committing to Lille this summer. A situation which will be processed by the Marseille prosecution.
