Three new qualified for the World Cup!

If France will have had to wait this Friday evening to play its first match of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the AMSUD zone has already returned its verdict. Or almost.

The six countries directly qualified for the US World Cup are indeed known. After Argentina, Brazil and Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia and Paraguay in turn validated their ticket.

While Uruguay and Colombia put the way there by dominating Peru (3-0) and Bolivia (3-0) respectively, Paraguay was satisfied with a draw at home against Ecuador (0-0).

Note that a seventh country could participate in the 2026 World Cup. Venezuela and Bolivia are struggling to get the place of a barragist, the Vinotinto with a point ahead of its rival before receiving Colombia on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday.
