Jérémy Ménez in a big fight

Ligue 1 players are questioned about their career in the summer special issue of The team. They say in particular the biggest argument between teammates they have experienced in training or in a wardrobe. Altercations, there are very regularly in football clubs but it sometimes turns into the real fight, with exchange of blows like Adrien Rabiot and Jonathan Rowe. This was the case for Jérémy Ménez.

Pépite du FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, the talented striker signed his first professional contract from the age of 16, in 2004, to start a few months later. It was then at AS Monaco for two years (2006-2008) that he continued his progress in the first division, by making his technique and his enthusiasm speak (14 achievements and 8 assists in 64 matches with the formation of the principality), alongside Camel Meriem, Nenê, Djamel Bakar, Frédéric Piquionne, Jan Koller or Marco Di Vaio.

Ménez tells a confrontation he had with Jerko Leko, a fairly rough Croatian defensive midfielder from Dynamo kyiv in 2006. They were seven years of difference.

Launched by Laurent Blanc in the French team, in the first game of the coach against Norway (with only players not present at the 2010 World Cup), Ménez experienced 24 selections in the Blues until 2013 for two goals scored. He heated hot and cold at AS Rome for three years before signing at PSG, for a rather successful two -year passage. He saw Thiago Silva, Marco Verratti and Zlatan Ibrahimovic land in the summer of 2012.
