There are fights between teammates in training or in the locker room in all clubs in the world, each season and all eras combined. Even if, it is true, the altercations are rarely “Unheard of violence”as OM leaders were said to have been, the confrontation between Adrien Rabiot and Jonathan Rowe in the team's locker room last Friday in Rennes, after the 1-0 defeat of the Phocaeans at the opening of the Ligue 1 season.
In the summer special issue of The teamformer players of the French championship tell their journey and the anecdotes who have marked their career. Frédéric Brando, taulier of the OM locker room
Arrived at OM in 1997, Frédéric Brando was a framework of the locker room. The defensive midfielder, never really holder, was precious during the high season of the Rolland Courbis OM in 1998-1999 (2nd of D1, League Cup final). Cyrille Pouget joined the Vélodrome residents in January 2000 to revive. The center-forward had formed the “pp gunners” with Robert Pirès at FC Metz, became French international (three selections) and was recruited by PSG. His Marseille passage rang the death knells of his high level (6 goals in 29 games) a bit.
Elana, he evolved as a reserve team, while accompanying Cédric Carrasso, Damien Grégorini and Stéphane Trévisan during the 2000-2001 season. He knew no less than four coaches (Abel Braga, Christophe Galtier, Javier Clemente and Tomislav IVIC), for a very distressing 15th place, before continuing his career in Valencia (in Drôme), where he proved to be National. He especially became the essential goalkeeper of the Brest stadium from 2005 to 2012 (236 matches in total), by playing the last two seasons in the elite.
