According to The Athletic, United abandoned the Baleba transfer project this summer. The club discussed the Seagulls of a possible transfer to the request of Ruben Amorim, but the price of the supply was excluded, Brighton claiming an amount equivalent to the 115 million pounds Sterling (156 million dollars) which led to the sale of Caicedo months in Chelsea.
Ruben Amorim will not have what he wants
United is not willing to pay the price requested by Brighton, and the South Coast club is not ready for sale either, which led the negotiations to a dead end. The report indicates that the agreement, therefore, is unlikely to succeed, despite Baleba's desire to do so.
Baleba remains in Brighton
The personal conditions of the midfielder would not have posed a problem in United, and Baleba would be ready to continue to fight, even if he did not show any impatience to leave. Brighton has already sold João Pedro, Simon Adingra and Pervis Estupinan this summer and would prefer not to lose another star of the first team.
United should keep an eye on Baleba throughout the season. Brighton begins his campaign against Fulham this weekend.
