Already a trophy for PSG

PSG opened its season in the best of ways this Wednesday in Udine. Barely eight days after the resumption of training at the Poissy campus – a month just after their defeat in the final of the World Cup – the Parisians were right for Tottenham as part of the UEFA Supercup.

To do this, Luis Enrique's men were overflowed. On both sides of the break, Van de Ven (0-1, 39e) and Romero (0-2, 48e) indeed marked for the Spurs, then offering Londoners a relatively logical advantage in view of the Parisian defensive generosity.

The Money Time was however fatal to the English. Lee, initially, relaunched his family from a pretty throbed throat at 18 meters (1-2, 85e). Then Ramos emerged in the surface to victoriously cut a tense center from Dembélé from the head, in the last moments of additional time (2-2, 90e+4).

A French first

During the penalty shootout immediately played – without going through the extension box – Vitinha has certainly failed by missing the frame from the first attempt by the Reds and Bleus. But Chevalier allowed his new teammates to return to the race by pushing Van de Ven de Ven de Van. Such having in turn shot in the process, Lee then Mendes were able to seal the victory of PSG (4 shots on goal at 3).

For the first time in the history of the European Super Cup, a French representative registers his name in the record. A good omen, no doubt, for the rest of the season. Parisians being expected in Nantes on Sunday to launch their championship.
