The summer transfer window sometimes reserves unexpected twists and turns, and some files never seem to close. This is the case of Christopher Nkunku, whose future in Chelsea continues to be speculation. Despite a season marked by injuries, the French striker retains a good rating on the market, to the point that a great Europe has decided to return to the charge.

Bayern Munich ready to restart the Nkunku track

This club is none other than Bayern Munich, which has never completely closed the file. According to information from Sky Sports, the Bavarian training keeps an attentive eye on the situation of Nkunku. The sports director Max Eberl, already seduced by the versatility of the player capable of evolving in several offensive positions, would see in him an ideal profile to complete an offensive sector dominated by Harry Kane.

If the German champions have definitively dismissed the idea of recruiting Nicolas Jackson, another Chelsea striker announced leaving, their interest in Nkunku remains topical. The former Parisian, who arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2023, struggled to win in fierce competition, reinforced this summer by the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap. Its ability to evolve at the forefront as in support of attack represents a certain asset for a club accustomed to juggle between several competitions.

A file that could accelerate at the end of the transfer window

A transfer is nevertheless conditioned to other movements on the market. Bayern continues to assess the track leading to Nick Woltemade, Stuttgart striker, and could adjust his strategy according to the discussions. For Chelsea, a departure from Nkunku would help lighten the payroll and open the door to other recruits, while the London club is activated to reshape its workforce.

Two weeks before closing the transfer window, the case could accelerate at any time. Bayern, already armed to aim high in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League, would see in Nkunku a reinforcement of choice capable of bringing creativity and efficiency. For the Frenchman, it would be an opportunity to find a championship that he knows well … and a club where the ambitions correspond to his talent.
