After seeing its image scorned as a television object in recent years, to the point of seeing several broadcasters – for some historicals – disengage from the race, Ligue 1 finds a certain rating. According to information from Guillaume Pacini, the French championship will be broadcast on Italian television again for the 2025-2026 season.
It is the Sky Italia channel which has acquired two matches per day of Ligue 1, each time the two “best”, to offer to its audience beyond the Alps.
Privileged OM and Paris?
For the first day of Ligue 1, one can imagine that the Italian media will opt for Rennes-Marseille on Friday evening and Nantes-Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday. It is also likely that OM and PSG, the two most popular and watched clubs in France, are frequently playing. The Phocaeans also have an Italian coach in the person of Roberto de Zerbi.
As a reminder, Ligue 1 will be broadcast in France this year on a new platform, the Ligue 1+ channel, available from all operators, but also on computers, smartphones and tablets.
