Benjamin Pavard does not help his case. Holder for the Inter preparation match in Louis-II against AS Monaco on Saturday, the 2018 world champion is at fault on the first goal of the game scored by Maghnes Akliouche of entry (2nd). The Nerazzurri, reduced to 10, overturned the situation in the second period thanks to a superb goal from Lautaro Martinez (60th) and a goal signed Ange-Yoan Bonny (80th), the young French striker now competitor of Marcus Thuram.

The days may be counted for Pavard in Lombardy. For the past two weeks, Italian media has confirmed that the leaders of the Nerazzurri have put their axial defender right on the transfers list. The former Bayern player has been a real soldier since his arrival at the residents of San Siro, but the Inter obviously hopes to recover 20 million euros with this sale to afford the services of Koni de Winter from the Genoa.

It is not necessarily Christian Chivu, successor to Simone Inzaghi just before the Club World Cup, who decided to push Benjamin Pavard towards the exit. In reality, the management of the Milanese club did not appreciate the behavior of the 29 -year -old tricolor international during his offseason.

Pavard, the controversy with Théo Hernandez

“Pavard pays for this stupidity after the Club World Cup, when we saw him playing Padel. Pavard is a very serious and professional player, but this was not the case this time, and the Inter took him very seriously ”explains Giancarlo Padovan to Sky Sport on the sidelines of the friendly meeting on the rock.

Benjamin Pavard, for sure. Victim of a sprain in an ankle last April, which made him miss the final sprint in Serie A, the northerner relapsed in the first match of the World Cup in the United States and was sent back to Italy before the 8th finals against Fluminense (lost 2-0). Pavard was supposed to be sparing but he posted on the day -to -day networks at Padel with Théo Hernandez, a few days after his return from the USA. He must probably relaunch far from Inter to be part of the French team at the 2026 World Cup in North America.
