An already explosive context at Barça
The case originates in the initial refusal of Ter Stegen to sign a medical document declaring an absence of six months, which would have enabled the club to release part of its payroll to recruit. The German, convinced to return in three months, stood up to his direction, before giving in and finding his armband.
If some greet the Cañizare franchise, others point to questionable generalization on “the Germans”. Ter Stegen, he preferred to calm the game, reaffirming his love for Barcelona and his total commitment. But between repeated injuries, reinforced competition and external criticism, its Catalan future seems more uncertain than ever.
