As part of the rape investigation targeting Achraf Hakimi, Kylian Mbappé was heard by justice as a witness, reveals

The two men stayed close despite the departure of Mbappé at Real Madrid, a Hakimi training club.
Faced with investigators, the Captain of the Blues defended his friend with conviction. “This is a subject that we are talking about regularly and on which we are very vigilant. First of all, we are not savages. And then, we have been prepared for this since the start of our career ”he explained. Mbappé claims to have never noted any displaced behavior on the part of Hakimi, including in the evening or under the effect of alcohol.
“Achraf Hakimi is respectful with women. Same alcoholic, I have never seen him have a displaced behavior ”he stressed, adding that he had not received any negative testimony about it. “Even the times I have not attended certain scenes, I never had a return of friends who told me that Achraf had behaved badly or that he had exceeded the limits”continued Mbappé in the spring of 2023 during his hearing.
“Achraf has completely cracked”
He also described Hakimi's distress when he discovered, in February 2023, the Parisian article announcing that a rape investigation had been opened against him. It was the same evening of the Best Fifa Awards ceremony. “In the evening, we were at the restaurant. Achraf completely fell for, he cried. He was really not good ”said the tricolor striker.
Despite Hakimi's denials, the Nanterre prosecution requested its dismissal to the Hauts-de-Seine Departmental Criminal Court. “It is now up to the instructor magistrate to make his decision as part of his order”specifies the prosecution. In the event of a trial, the Moroccan international faces up to fifteen years of imprisonment.
