A former Fiorentina player committed suicide

Tragedy in Italy: the former defender of Fiorentina, Celeste Pin, died at the age of 64, at his home in Florence. According to initial information relayed by the Italian media, it is a suicide. A loved one, worried not to hear any more, gave the alert. The emergency services, accompanied by the police, discovered the lifeless body of the former player. The Florence prosecutor's office opened an investigation, but the suicide track seems privileged at this stage.

Celeste Pin marked the history of Fiorentina, with which he played more than 200 games between 1982 and 1991, including a UEFA Cup final in 1990 against Juventus. He also wore the colors of Pérouse, Verona and Siena, where he ended his career. International Hope 12 times, he had won a bronze medal at the 1984 Euro U21. After his retirement, Pin had briefly worked in football as the manager of local clubs, before converting to real estate.
