After a red and white home shirt and a green and white away, it’s the turn of purple to make its appearance on one of Liverpool’s official clothing for the 2023-2024 season, signed Nike. At an event held at the city’s historic Eventim Olympia, in conjunction with BOSS Night, which had invited hundreds of Reds fans to a sold-out pre-season concert.
Goalkeeper Alisson was first out and impressed playing guitar with singer Kieo, before calling on midfielder Missy Bo Kearns and new summer signing Dominik Szoboszlai to join him, wearing the new third shirt. Looking closer, we can see a purple wavy pattern with a black sleeve edge, black inserts at the shoulder. Matching shorts and purple wavy-patterned socks complete the ensemble.
The 97 emblem surrounded by the eternal flames is on the back of the neck in memory of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster. The Liverpool FC crest and signature Swoosh have a unique speckled finish, crafted by Nike Grind, which turns manufacturing waste and end-of-life shoes into new, upcycled materials.
