Just nine days after joining Konyaspor, former Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has had his contract terminated by the club.
In an official statement released on Thursday afternoon, Konyaspor announced that their recent acquisition was leaving the team for “family reasons”. Schneiderlin has yet to speak to the media and the exact reason for his departure remains a mystery for now.
Schneiderlin spent three years with French club Nice before leaving this summer. He made 59 Ligue 1 appearances over two and a half seasons, before being loaned to Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia for the second half of the 2022-23 season.
In an official statement, Konyaspor said: Professional football player Morgan Schneiderlin, whose transfer we recently announced, has informed our management that he wishes to leave for family reasons. Following consultations and assessments, our club has accepted Morgan Schneiderlin’s request and has terminated his contract by mutual agreement. »
