Scandal: Ancelotti to the prison!

Brazilian coach Carlo Ancelotti was sentenced to one year in prison for tax fraud committed while he was coach of Real Madrid.

Ancelotti was accused of having thrilled the public treasury in 2014 and 2015, when he was Real Madrid coach for the first time. During the trial, the Italian told the court that he did not intend to defraud the public treasury by hiding income related to his image rights and that he had simply followed the instructions of the club, according to the EFE agency. The verdict has now been returned, Ancelotti being sentenced to a prison sentence and a fine of 386,361 euros. It was acquitted tax offenses for 2015.

Ancelotti may have been sentenced, but he should not serve a prison sentence. According to Reuters, the accused are rarely sentenced to sentences under two years for non -violent crimes under Spanish law. However, he will have to pay a heavy fine of 386,361 euros.

Ancelotti pleaded not guilty during his trial in April, while the prosecutor had initially required a four -year sentence and nine months in prison against him.
