PSG is preparing to complete a new transfer. The second most expensive of its summer transfer window.

Ousmane Dembélé will indeed join PSG. Negotiations with his former club Barcelona stretched out, but they ended up in a deal. The French international will join Luis Enrique’s team, in return for a compensation of 50 million euros.

Dembélé finally arrives at PSG

The information was confirmed on Wednesday by L’Equipe. The media also clarified that the player is expected in the French capital at the end of the evening. He was not there the day before, contrary to what the Blaugrana vice-president had said.

The former Rennes player will undergo the medical examination on Thursday prior to his engagement with the French champions. And if all goes well, he will immediately sign a five-year lease with the Parisians.

Dembélé thus makes his return to Ligue 1, seven years after leaving it. At the time, he joined Borussia Dortmund, where he only stayed for a year before moving to Barça. On the Camp Nou side, he will therefore have made a six-year stint, signing 40 goals in 185 matches.

The 2018 world champion is the 9e summer defector for PSG. Behind Manuel Ugarte, it was he who cost the Ile-de-France residents the most. He is also the third reinforcement in the offensive sector after Marco Asensio and Gonçalo Ramos.
