Thomas Tuchel would like Kepa Arrizabalaga to join Bayern Munich, while Manuel Neuer risks staying on the sidelines for several weeks.

Bundesliga champions Bayern are in a bind when it comes to their choice of goalkeepers, with Sven Ulreich being the only working keeper in their squad. Yann Sommer has already left for Inter and given the uncertainty hanging over Neuer, who is likely to be on the sidelines for several weeks after breaking his leg during a skiing trip last December, Bayern would like to recruit a new goalkeeper.

According Sports1, Tuchel has asked the team management to get him Kepa from Chelsea and the club have already started talks with the player’s representatives and the Premier League club. Although the German manager favored Edouard Mendy during his tenure at Stamford Bridge, he believes the Spaniard could be the right choice at the Allianz Arena to compete with Ulreich.

Bayern would like to take Kepa on a loan with an option to buy. The Chelsea keeper is believed to remain open to a change of employer, especially as he faces competition from Robert Sanchez, who was snapped up from Brighton for £25million.
