For his last match of the season, the French team managed to seek success against Germany, allow him to finish the League of Nations in third place (2-0). A difficult victory, since the Blues suffered particularly during the first act, before waking up during the second. At the end of the meeting, Didier Deschamps delivered his impressions.

The tricolor coach was not fully satisfied with the performance of his players. If he appreciated their reaction in the second period, German domination in the first forty-five minutes does not seem to have liked: ” I try to be always lucid. It is good to have led 1-0, but here we have left too much initiatives to the opponent and then, even if they are not necessarily in the position where they are in their club, there it was a bit of perpetual movement, but that brought us nothing. Well done, because it's not easy. It would have gone wrong, I had no excuse and the players no excuse. But in the state of mind, the will, the possibility of hurting the opponent, is something interesting. We finish 3rd, it's better than fourth. We end the season on a victory. This leaves the opportunity to do better next year.
