The 2024/25 season of the Champions League ended this Saturday evening at the Allianz Arena, with the first coronation in the history of Paris Saint-Germain, following its historic victory against Inter Milan on a score of 5-0. And while UEFA has already designated Ousmane Dembélé as the best player in the competition, as well as Désiré Goué as the best young player, the European body has just unveiled the standard team of this season, high in twists and turns.
Before revealing the happy extras on this list, UEFA wanted to show any transparency on the selection criteria: “We made this selection of players, in particular in attack, to reflect exceptional mobility which was a characteristic of the approach of the victorious team of Paris Saint-Germain. The selected attack line is the illustration of this: a flexible team with offensive players who can change position ”it is explained.
Seven Parisians, only a Milanese
And before talking about field players, Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG) was logically selected in goals after a more than successful season, including a striking shots against Liverpool, in eighth. In front of him, there are three Parisians: Nuno Mendes, Marquinhos and Achraf Hakimi, alongside the finalist Alessandro Bastoni (Inter Milan). Another Ile -de -France in the midfield, Vitinha, alongside Declan Rice (Arsenal), especially for his sublime performance against Real Madrid.
On the wings, the two attackers of FC Barcelona Raphinha and Lamine Yamal also deserve their place, while the attack duo is composed of Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué. A team widely dominated by PSG, which has seven players, two Barcelona, an arsenal player and only Bastoni on the Inter Milan side, however a finalist. Also note, the absence of Serhou Guirassy (Borussia Dortmund), however co-manner of the season, with Barcelona Raphinha (13 goals).
