João Félix may well find Benfica, the marginal of Chelsea being apparently in talks for a return to his former team.

According to Cauughtoffside, Félix could find a familiar environment, Benfica being in advanced negotiations for the return of the Portuguese striker to the Estadio Da Luz. After a new disappointing passage to AC Milan, he wishes to relaunch his career in his childhood club after a disappointing passage in England and Italy.

Benfica is studying a loan for the attacker, while Chelsea puts pressure for a final transfer. The two parties have not yet agreed on the terms of the contract, but all seem determined to find a solution.

Joao Felix towards a return to Benfica

Since his departure from Benfica for Atlético de Madrid for an amount of 126 million euros, Félix's career is anything but simple. Despite some lightning of genius, regularity and tactical adequacy have escaped him. His multiple loans, notably in Chelsea, Barcelona and Milan, did not allow him to impose himself or fully reveal his talent.

Clubs of the Saudi Pro League and the Brazilian giant Flamengo both expressed their interest in his services, but his relatives claim that he remains focused on his presence in Europe. The Portuguese striker still believes in his ability to compete at the highest European level, and a return to Benfica could offer him regular playing time and the opportunity to reaffirm himself before the 2026 World Cup.

Chelsea wants a younger attack

While Felix is getting closer to the output, Chelsea already identifies new targets to strengthen her attack. The Blues would monitor Hugo Ekitike, a versatile attacker capable of playing in a point or on the sides. Liam Delap would also be envisaged to strengthen his offensive line. These two targets mark an evolution towards a younger and more agile attack, in line with the global vision of the club and the evolution of its recruitment model.
